I notice #6 often feeding into the other points when trying to get patients to change behavior patterns, whether its smoking, sleep, exercise or nutrition.

That's very true. I'm just as guilty. My identity was always 'I'm the fitness guy' and after my heart attack and bypass I went through a period of 'bereavement' for my 'old self'. CBT really helped me to see how my behaviours, thoughts and beliefs are so interdependent. Thanks so much for taking the time to read and comment. 🙏
